Grand Order of Water Rats

Borrible: I see from the website for the GOWR that you're a trustee of their charitiy fund. Does the charity primarily support 'entertainment' related causes? I see also that there are plans for a museum; will this be open to the general public?

Paul Daniels: I am no longer a trustee because my work would not allow me the time that it demands. I am still a Councilor. Yes, the first demand upon the Charity is to take care of people from the world of show business but occasionally other needy people and groups benefit from the Charity.

As for the Museum, I would think that if you were to get in touch, via their web site or by phone, a visit might be organised.

Ackknowledging Debbi'e Input

BrucUK: Do people in general acknowledge the support that Debbie has given you over the years in terms of magic? She must have a remarkable knowledge of the "workings" of magic, (I seem to remember there was once a programme called "Boxjumpers" or something in which she appeared), and her timing, (magical and/or comedic), is always perfect!

When we all thank you for your contribution to magic, we must also thank her. Please pass this on.

Paul Daniels: I will most certainly pass this on to Debbie. Thank you on her behalf. I sometimes feel guilty when her talents are not recognised but I think that a lot of people at the Centenary Celebrations had their eyes opened at how natural and how funny she can be.

Over the years she was an enormous contributor to the magic shows and learnt to present magic really well. She's a great girl.

Royal Family

Magicsquirell: Hi Paul, just wondering if you've met any members of the Royal Family.

TamMcLaughlin: I read your autobiography and liked the story where you were doing a kids show for Prince Harry and Prince William and you had to give William (???) a "telling" off. Brave man!

Paul Daniels: I think that I have met them all at one time or another. I don't think I would pick on Prince William now!!!!!

Thank You

Paul Anthony: Hi Paul, due to my Mum being ill at present I won't be able to "get on line" before you take a break from all the questioning here. It was only this week that I discovered the web site here, being totally unaware that you would be a guest this week.

My magic has been confined to entertaining friends and family, but just last week my wife and I agreed to me starting to seriously work on idea's, getting more practise etc etc.

In the few days we have conversed, I've been "told off", instructed and encouraged. I didn't like being told off, but it put me right, so thanks!!!

Thanks for the instruction (Zombie Ball and Floating Light Bulb), but most of all your encouragement to "be myself". It is proving to be having an effect even this week, as I've started to add my personality to my magic...result? More Fun and those who saw it....loved it!!!

I hope my wife and I will have the joy to meet you one day.....

Do you publish any lists of any shows you do on you web site? We'd love to get along......

Paul, have a great weekend and a great "magical" rest of your life...Debbie too!

Paul Daniels: Thanks Paul. It is taking me, at the moment, just about all my time to run the shop and I realise that my own site has taken a back seat. It is in danger of becoming a cobweb site.

I do tend to mutter about where I am going and stuff on http://journals.aol.co.uk/thepauldaniels/PaulDanielsDiary but thanks for the reminder and I will find out how to change my diary on my own sites.
